S-Plastics Ultem polyetherimide (PEI) is an amorphous high-performance polymer with excellent heat resistance, good chemical corrosion resistance, inherent flame retardancy and excellent dimensional stability. The glass transition temperature (TG) is 217 ℃, the HDT is 190 ℃, and the relative thermal index (RTI) is 170 ℃. Low smoke emission, meeting the requirements of FDB, FAR and NBS. Low creep sensitivity, low and uniform coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) (transverse and longitudinal). High strength and modulus at high temperature. It has good resistance to many chemical substances. It has stable dielectric constant and dissipation factor under a wide range of temperature and frequency conditions. It is transparent to visible light, infrared light and microwave radiation. Comply with FDA, European and American food contact regulations and USP class VI. Excellent processing performance on traditional molding equipment. ULTEM (PEI) materials are widely used in tableware / public catering, medical, aircraft, automobile, automotive lighting, telecommunications, electrical and fluid processing industries.

PEI characteristics:

  1. PEI is characterized by high strength, high rigidity, wear resistance and dimensional stability at high temperature.
  2. Pei is an amber transparent solid. It has inherent flame retardancy and low smoke without adding any additives. The oxygen index is 47%, and the combustion grade is ul94-v-0.
  3. The density of Pei is 1.28 ~ 1.42g/cm3, the glass transition temperature is 215 ℃, the thermal deformation temperature is 198 ~ 208 ℃, it can be used for a long time under 160 ~ 180 ℃, and the allowable intermittent high use temperature is 200 ℃.
  4. Pei has excellent mechanical strength, electrical insulation performance, radiation resistance, high and low temperature resistance, fatigue resistance and molding processability;

Adding glass fiber, carbon fiber or other fillers can achieve the purpose of strengthening and modification.
